Note: due to a small market and limited demand we've had to temporarily suspend Wrapping Bags production. We do plan to revive this project in the future, but at this point the market just doesn't seem ready to embrace the concept at the level required for commercial success. For the next few years it's back to everyone making their own gift bags, which is easy to do!

Wrapping Bags are hand made by Rhonda Sandau and Gordon Jewett in Canmore, Alberta in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Wrapping Bags have been a hobby of ours for many years as we've tried to decrease our environmental footprint by reducing our use of paper gift wrap. Over the past six years Wrapping Bags has gradually developed into a business in a effort to spread our Wrapping Bags around the world.

Rhonda Sandau
Rhonda is an national level Cross Country Ski racer from Calgary, Alberta. She recently made the move to nearby Canmore, Alberta where she trains fulltime and sews night and day to produce Wrapping Bags to send all over the world!

Rhonda is passionate about the environment, and being involved with Wrapping Bags allows her to make a difference in the world, ensuring that gift giving can be done in an environmentally friendly way.

Rhonda brings sewing experience from another business she is involved in, SOS Headwear. Rhonda has been the major force behind making Wrapping Bags the best quality fabric gift bags available.

Gordon Jewett
Gordon Jewett, originally from Toronto, is a member of the Canadian National Cross Country Ski Team and as a fulltime athlete Wrapping Bags allows him to concentrate on training while working from home.

Gordon began making Wrapping Bags way back in 1991 at the age of 13. The Jewett family have long been users of homemade gift bags, and in 1991 Gordon began producing bags to sell as a fundraiser for many environmental causes. By the late 90's each bag came complete with a unique identification number, allowing bag givers to send in a mail card and have their bags gifting progress tracked around the country and the world. This developed into our Follow Your Bag program that today allows Wrapping Bag users to find out what path their bag has taken around the world.
